Dr. Leslie Pristas, DO, FACS, FASMBS, FPD, is a highly esteemed bariatric surgeon known for her exceptional skills and compassionate approach to transforming lives through personalized care and expertise in weight loss procedures. With a deep-rooted passion for medicine cultivated during her upbringing in Delaware, Ohio, Dr. Pristas embarked on a remarkable journey that led her to become a renowned figure in the field of bariatric surgery.

Her academic pursuit began at Denison University for her undergraduate studies, followed by earning an Air Force scholarship for medical school at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine: Heritage Hall. Dr. Pristas further honed her surgical skills during an active-duty residency in general surgery at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, where she specialized in advanced laparoscopy, including bariatric and robotic surgery techniques.

After completing her service in the Air Force, Dr. Pristas, accompanied by her husband and three children, returned to Ohio to establish herself as the Director of Bariatric Surgery at two prominent hospital systems in Cleveland. Her dream of founding Best Life Bariatrics and Medical Weight Loss was realized, providing a platform to deliver individualized care and support to her patients with unwavering dedication.
